“Every bad feeling is potential energy toward a more right way of being if you give it space to move toward its rightness.”   ~ Eugene Gendlin

I am a licensed social worker emphasizing experiential and somatic approaches to healing and wellness – inviting spaciousness and warm curiosity to your present-moment experiencing of unhealed wounds, tensions, joys, relationship struggles, desires, and stuckness. By slowing down and listening inside, we allow the answers to emerge from within you, into the light of your own self-witnessing and care.

My aim is to support people’s sense of safety and belonging in their body and in the therapeutic interaction, so that we can explore the obstacles in your life, gently touch the tender places, mourn losses, and harness your resources and creativity – to bring your deepest needs and values into alignment with your living process. Relationship and attachment issues, life transitions, creativity and life projects, depression and anxiety, including climate anxiety, are among the issues that surface in my work with clients. To these I bring a trauma-informed approach and continually strive toward culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive practice.

I come to this work via Focusing; a way of being present with the quality of one’s lived experience, developed by Eugene Gendlin. After experiencing Focusing as a client, I wanted to share this practice that felt like continually coming home. I was certified as a Focusing-Oriented Professional in 2022 and earned my MSW in 2024, following training at a community mental health agency and at a university counseling center. I continue to lead workshops on self-care, social support, and creative expression.

Enhancing my practice are the approaches of Family Constellations, Somatic Experiencing, Coherence Therapy, Eco-Therapy, Yoga, and visual arts. I draw on a number of tools to help people develop helpful habits and coping skills, including Nonviolent Communication and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to promote choice-filled actions and responses. My goal is to help you to live in greater alignment with your needs, values, and sense of purpose. Please contact me if you are curious to explore the possibility of working together.
